Must have ten years of experience in rooms division management in a luxury/upscale property with working knowledge in front office, reservations, guest services, housekeeping, pool, engineering, and security. Must have ability to anticipate guest needs and maintain guest and employee relations at all times. Must be highly organized with the ability to multi-task. The ideal candidate will be a good leader who is a proven mentor and a coach, who has the ability to teach or inspire others to learn through positive role modeling with a proven track record of being respectful, transcendent, united, consistent and empathetic. Establishes and maintains open, collaborative relationships with direct reports and entire operations team and ensures consistent compliance with Hotels & Resorts of Halekulani, Forbes, LQA and AAA standards of service and policies, while maximizing departmental profits. Must have proven ability to formulate a budget and stay within budgetary guidelines. Business degree and/or college degree in travel industry management preferred or any combination of education and experience which would provide the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities to meet the minimum qualifications. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and have experience with PMS and other rooms operating systems. Available to work on weekends, holidays and additional shifts as needed. Must have excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
