Temporary Casual Part-Time (Req # 2016-214) Less than 20 hours per week; Requires endurance for shift rotation; Requires availability to be on-call.

Description of Position

Applies the nursing process through assessment, formulating nursing diagnosis, planning, implementing, documenting and evaluating plans of care for assigned hemodialysis patients, following established standards of nursing practice as delineated by the Medical Center and Acute Hemodialysis unit. 

Qualifications and Requirements

Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Hawaii required.  One (1) year experience in acute medical/surgical nursing required; hemodialysis experience preferred; or any combination of education and experience which would provide the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities to meet the minimum qualifications to perform the essential functions of this position.  BLS Provider and ACLS required, with retraining every two years.  Requires successful completion of eight (8) weeks on-the-job training/orientation in hemodialysis nursing.
