Type and Shift
1 Regular Full-Time Position Must be available Sunday through Saturday 3:30 pm – 12:30 am. Primary evening shift with day shift rotation on holidays. Must be flexible with schedule changes in order to meet operational needs.
Performs defined preparatory portions of laboratory procedures under the direct supervision of licensed personnel. Performs clerical activities, phlebotomy and/or other duties as assigned. May perform waived, Provider Performed Microscopy Procedures (PPMP), and Point of Care Testing (POCT) as authorized by the laboratory director.
Bachelor’s degree in a biological science, or high school diploma or equivalent and 4 years of relevant clinical laboratory experience. OR,
Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technician program or related science, or 2 years of college and 2 years relevant clinical laboratory experience. OR,
Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or related science and successful completion of training in an approved School of Medical Technology, or Associate degree from an accredited school of Clinical Laboratory Sciences and completion of an approved clinical laboratory internship. OR,
Completion of 2-3 years of training in a medical technology program or completion of one year of training in a medical laboratory technician program.
Two years patient care or equivalent public contact experience preferred.
Ability to communicate effectively in English, both in verbal and written form.
Ability to work both independently and with a team.
Excellent customer service skills.
Typing (alphanumeric): 96% accuracy at 40 wpm.
10-key: 96% accuracy at 8,000 ksph, as applicable.
